Hello my is Ms. Rebeckah. This is my fourth year teaching at Metro School. I am Charlotte born and raised and decided to come back to teach. I attended East Carolina University where I graduated in 2011 with a degree in Dance Education. I added on Special Education Licenses while working on my undergrad. After finishing my undergraduate degree, I decided to further my education and go for my Masters in School Counseling. Why School Counseling? Well I wanted a degree that would benefit me in my field of teaching and be a backup plan for whenever I might need a break from teaching. Plus I love psychology:) I again attended East Carolina University and graduated in May 2013 with my Masters in Counseling.
Mr. Corey has worked with kids in different populations, from kids with behavioral mental health to severe and profound special needs, over the past 12 years. Mr. Corey has his degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from St. Augustine's University. Mr. Corey loves the kids so much that he even coaches Special Olympics Basketball and Track and Field for the Metro Tigers. This is Corey's 5th year me.
This is Ms. Natalie's first year working with me in my classroom. This is her third year here at Metro and in Transition so she is very familiar with our students. Natalie is currently working towards her Special Education Teaching Degree while helping me in my classroom. She has worked with me during CBT the past two years and I am excited to have her as a new addition to the room.
We are all very excited about this year and bring something different to the classroom. Can't wait to see what all my class accomplishes.
